One of the moments in the history of formation of the European ecological consciousness is considered in the article. Special attention is paid to the importance of Hegel’s organic, complete understanding of the nature. Relying on this general idea, the author of the paper analyses philosophical categories, through which Hegel expresses his understanding of the Earth as an organism.
