The article considers the advisability of grammatical competence (syntactic aspect)
forming among translators of profession-oriented texts, because this profession is
very important nowadays and, as a result, requirements to translators’ training quality
increase. The author of the article develops a nomenclature of grammatical abilities that are formed alongside with grammatical competence (syntactic aspect) of professionoriented text translators, which is useful for becoming a competent expert.
