The article covers the early age of children’s development as an important condition for their socialisation and communication. The relationship between the specificity and age characteristics of young children is traced. The author analyses the priority factors of the development of young children’s communication in basic education institutions – family and childcare centres. The interrelation of the communication development with objectoriented activity, sensory and cognitive activity is considered.
