 Modelling is considered in the paper as an integrative method of studying ways of
increasing technical readiness of sprinters of mass categories on the basis of revealing the structure, contents and features of the organisation of starting actions. Modelling of starting actions is based on conceptual methodological provisions determining regularities of sprinters’ sports skill growth. The author defines the main directions of increasing the efficiency of starting actions of sprinters and confirms their validity by the experimental data obtained through the pedagogical experiment.
