Value orientati ons and personal responsibilit y of men wit h and wit hout experience of obligat ory servi ce in the Armed Forces of Russia

 The article presents the analysis of the level and parameters of responsibility and value orientations of men of military age with different experience of service in the Armed Forces of Russia. The main objective of the study is to compare the studied parameters of men with and without experience of military service. In the course of the study significant differences in the value orientations and in the level of personal responsibility between the compared groups is found. Men who served in the army, in contrast to other groups of respondents, believe that such values as a high financial status, high social status, influence and management of other people are more important. In the group of men who did not serve in the army the significance of pleasant pastimes and recreation dominates. Men who served in the Army demonstrate a higher level of personal responsibility in general and of such parameters as the attitude to difficulties, to new responsibilities, to promises and emotional attitude to responsible affairs.
