Abstract. The article presents the problems associated with a number of contradictions in
the construction of a new system of professional orientation in modern Russia. The task is
to preserve the positive experience of domestic researchers of the problem of professionali-
sation, as well as the primary professional self-determination of youth, while coordinating
approaches that contribute to improving the quality of interaction between specialists in the
field of education and business, as well as other institutional actors interested in increasing
the reliability of the professional choice of persons choosing the level of professional edu-
cational training.
