Abstract. In this article, the authors conduct a comparative analysis of approaches to under-
standing the essence of traditions in the Abrahamic religions, with an emphasis on the dif-
ference between the Scriptures of a particular faith and those teachings and rulings that have formed around it. Consistently referring to Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the authors identify the features characteristic of each Abrahamic religion, identifying similarities and differences in the approaches to the stated area. The article pays special attention to the analysis of the works of foreign scientists, as well as the practice of applying scientific knowledge and understanding religious traditions in the management of socially significant processes.
