Abstract. The authors raise an urgent problem of improving the quality of educational
outcomes provided by the development of an educational institution. This problem is
considered in the aspect of managing the development of educational institutions, whose
effectiveness requires involvement of a wide range of participants in the processes of
evaluating results and making decisions: teachers, parents, students, social partners. The article provides a brief analysis of scientific and methodological sources on the problem of involving subjects of the educational process in the activities of educational organisations, presents the results of the diagnostics identifying traditional and innovative mechanisms of involvement of subjects in 33 educational institutions of general and additional education of the Admiralteysky district of Saint Petersburg, describes the new interaction mechanisms at the district level tested by the Information and Methodology Centre. The presented experience makes it possible to build interaction between the subjects of education at a new level, ensuring their motivated participation in the processes of managing the development of educational institutions, thereby influencing the improvement of the quality of educational results of graduates.
