Abstract. The article presents the results of a study on the phenomena of professional burnout and aggressiveness among law enforcement officers. The sample consisted of 54 employees of the penitentiary system. The following psychodiagnostic methods were used: Maslach Burnout Inventory (C. Maslach, S. Jackson) and Buss-Durkee Hostility Inventory (BDHI). Statistical processing was carried out using Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient. Based on the results of the study, the authors established the high prevalence of problems of professional burnout and increased aggressiveness among representatives of law enforcement agencies. In addition, the authors revealed that with an increase in the level of professional burnout, the severity of aggressive tendencies of employees increases.
