Abstract. The article deals with the problem of teaching cultural studies to psychology students from the point of view of contiguous problems and neighbouring areas of study and research. The cultural studies course covers notions of language, mentality, consciousness, cultural behaviour. The same concepts are studied in psychology. Therefore, it is necessary to supplement the material with knowledge from psychological science, in which the relevant problems are investigated and discussed. The concepts of cultural scientists and psychologists should be also compared. The article emphasises that in this way, in addition to the formation of a picture of the world, cultural studies will become an important support for psychology students in their future profession.
