Artistic clay fi gurines are a favorite and popular form of folk art in China, which has deep social foundations. In the course of the art development, various directions were formed on the basis of local features. Among them, the Huishan clay sculpture of Wuxi occupies
an important place. This paper attempts to study the symbolic meanings of color in the clothing of Wuxi clay fi gurines. Exemplifi ed by the collection of Wuxi Clay Figurine Museum, the paper analyzes coloristic solutions in the creation of folk fi gurines.
