The richness of types and the bright uniqueness of Chinese traditional musical instruments create excellent objective conditions for emergence of a variety of instrumental ensembles. In the traditional instrumental ensemble art of China, there is no single sample for the composition of instruments in a musical group. The combination of one or more types of musical instruments, in accordance with the necessary proportional ratio, leads to the formation of numerous musical groups of various musical styles and shades. Analysis of the patterns for forming these musical groups will ensure better understanding of the performing culture of Chinese national instrumental ensembles.
