The article considers the essence of the principle of interdisciplinarity in pedagogy and 
its application in designing programmes of the artistic and aesthetic cycle in children’s 
additional  education.  Music  is  proposed  as  an  integrating  component  of  complex 
educational programmes of additional education for children.
