The paper is devoted to considering the chamber vocal heritage
of A. Rubinstein in terms of modernity. The authors focus on
history of the subject, reasons for which the music by the eminent
composer is not frequently performed on the concert stage. The
authors analyze particular music pieces of the composer and
problems of their performing interpretation. They highlight
importance of integrating the composer’s vocal music into the
repertoire of today’s concert vocalists and vocal students in
Russia and China.
