In the article, the author reviews the heroic epic of Olonkho and analyzes the
long-forgotten, but preserved in Olonkho texts, apochoristic (separating) acts
in traditional Yakut wedding rituals. The purpose of this article is to carry
out the structural analysis of the texts of algys (goodwill) of Olonkho Buura
Dohsun and Nyurgun Bootur the Impetuous and, consequently, to reveal the
apochoristic acts, forgotten by modern Yakuts. In the study, when revealing
the apochoristic acts in the wedding rituals of the Yakuts, the author applied
structurally functional and diachronic methods; and when analyzing the algys
(well-being) texts, the author used the lexico-semantic method. The analyzed
materials and publications on wedding rituals and algyses range from the 19th
century up to the present. Judging by the folklore materials of the Yakuts, the
author divides traditional wedding ceremonies into several stages. Resulting
from the ceremonial actions of the Yakut wedding rituals, the author in this .Нarticle delves into the ritual “tyhe barar”, which includes the apochoristic act.
Keywords: heroic epic, olonkho, apochoristic acts, good wishes, ritual actions, wedding  ritual.
