Russian art has a very special meaning for the development of contem-
porary Chinese art. Constructivism is one of the most important forms
of Russian art and aesthetics in the twentieth century. Its infl uence on
the development of contemporary Chinese art is comparable to that of
realistic art. Guided by the development process of Russian construc-
tivism, this paper analyzes the current position of abstract sculpture
in today’s China, and puts forward the “deconstruction” method of
Chinese modernism sculpture and the appearance of abstract sculpture
in today’s China.
