TEMPORAL COMPETENCE DEVELOPMENT AS A CONDITION FOR SUPPORTING STUDENTS AT THE ADAPTATION STAGE IN TERMS OF THE PERSON-CENTERED APPROACH

O. A. Molokova
Price: 50 руб.
The possibilities of using the person-centered approach in supporting students at the stage of adaptation in a new environment are considered in the article. The author describes the results of the research among first-year university students on the interrelation between social adaptedness and personality self-actualisation. The interfactorial analysis of selfactualisation indicators made it possible to allocate those indicators that can increase the effectiveness of adaptation. Orientation in time, considered in a broad sense as temporal competence, can act as such a parameter. The impact on practical and personal components of the temporal competence will help to solve various problems of students’ adaptation. The temporal competence development can be considered as a psychological and pedagogical condition of supporting students at the adaptation stage in terms of the person-centered approach.
Key words: adaptation in a new environment, support of students, adaptedness, selfactualisation, creative adaptation, temporal competence.
