INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES – CHALLENGES TO MODERN EDUCATION

 The paper analyses the required changes in professional education under the intensigying influence of information technologies on professional and social activity of human. It is necessary to fundamentally change the technological mode of pedagogical activity through increasing the role of the electronic component of the educational environment. The development of digital economy requires the formation of advanced competencies of specialists and progressive professional thinking. Projecting the electronic educational environment with remote subject experience, it is important to focus on the support of individual activity of the subject obtaining this experience. The electronic environment should become a tool of not only education, but also of development, self-education, guided socialisation and professionalisation.
