The article analyses the problem of assessment of a preschool child and a younger
schoolchild in the major types of children’s activities. The main reason for insufficiently
attentive attitude of representatives of different scientific branches, teachers and parents
is the stereotypical perception of these age stages of childhood as not quite serious,
preparatory to the more important periods of age development.
