The article considers the works of J. A. Condorcet from the point of view of utopianism.
The author identifies the rational utopian orientation of his social ideas. The article
deals with the theory of progress developed by Condorcet, as a utopian project of the
Enlightenment. Criticism of the project’s utopian provisions is given.
