The article presents the results of self-assessments of functional literacy of Saint
Petersburg school graduates. The survey was conducted in 2016. The sample consisted of 1656 students from 76 schools. The author describes the evaluation of functional literacy for 8 units: 1) general literacy, 2) work with information and self-education, 3) self-knowledge and self-control, 4) communication skills, 5) health and emergency action, 6) solving of domestic problems, 7) legal, socio-economic and political literacy, 8) environmental awareness. The author examines the relationship between various characteristics of functional literacy, as well as their links with the main sociodemographic and school factors.
