THEORETICAL AND EMPIRICAL ASPECTS OF THE STUDY ON VISUAL CREATIVITY IN PRIMARY SCHOOL AGE: MODELLING, DIAGNOSIS, RESULTS

 The article attempts to theoretically prove the relevance of studying of visual creativity
as a psychological phenomenon. The defiition of “visual creativity” is given on the basis
of generalisation of scientifi works of foreign and domestic psychology. Psychological
contents and main components of visual creativity are defied as a result of the
psychometric study. The characteristics of structural components of visual creativity are
proposed. The main prerequisites for the development of visual creativity at younger
school age are analysed. The author presents the results of the empirical research that
defies the psychological features and reveals the “relevant” and problematic zones of
the development of visual creativity at younger school age.
