THE CONCEPT OF THE RELEVANT APPROACH TO TRAINING OF TEACHERS OF HIGHER MEDICAL SCHOOL IN MODERN CONDITIONS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION

 In the article the author raises the issue of training teachers of higher medical school,
justifying her interest in research by the importance of continuing education for the successful solution of tasks of training future doctors, able to provide prevention, maintenance and recovery of health of Russian citizens. The author draws attention to the fact that the existing model of training, based on the cognitive approach, does not fully meet the priorities of higher professional medical education in the second decade of the 21 st century in Russia, as this approach promotes the formation of only relevant pedagogical knowledge and skills, helping professionals to adapt to the educational situation, and characterises the relevant approach to training of teachers of higher medical school, which can be a basis for an alternative model of professional development, contributing to personal and professional development of students.
