Originator’s Stance in Mass Media Discourse

 This article deals with the comparative analysis of the originator’s judgemental attitude in the news discourse and the discourse of analytical type of articles of the leading media outlets such as “The New York Times” and “The Washington Post” in the
late 20th century. The focal point is on exploring the originator’s judgemental attitude to the source of information because, as the research demonstrates, its actualization has a profound impact on the reflection of the social realm in mass media discourse.
