PATRISTIC TRADITION AS A BASIS OF DOSTOEVSKY’S ANTHROPOLOGY

V. Yu. Vavilova, S. Yu. Prosvetov
Price: 50 руб.
The article is devoted to understanding of Dostoevsky’s anthropology through the
succession of ideas of Eastern Christianity. Dostoyevsky’s works are characterised by
the deep reflection on the problems of the Christian religion, in which he reviewed and
criticised the Catholic tradition and atheistic worldview. In this regard, combining of
Dostoyevsky and French existentialists in one system is unjustified: speaking about the
same things, using the same words, in fact they talked about different things because
the grounds of their philosophical searches are different. The duality of human nature
postulated in Orthodoxy is also reflected in Dostoevsky’s works as a foundation of the
hope for spiritual resurrection even of a fallen person.
Key words: F. M. Dostoevsky, Christian anthropology, Russian philosophy, Orthodoxy,
French existentialism.
