The article describes the possibilities of cultural and leisure activities for the development and implementation of future teachers’ professional qualities: objective perception of the importance of cultural and leisure activities; ability to develop an algorithm of pedagogical influence; choice of effective ways to influence students for the purpose of their activation. The developed method of organising and conducting future teachers’ cultural and leisure activity proved its effectiveness in the pedagogical experiment that allowed us to obtain objective information about the presence of individuals’ ability to pedagogical activity. Competence-based pedagogical guidance with clear objectives significantly increases the effectiveness of cultural and leisure activities aimed at improving professionally significant qualities of future specialists.
