PSYCHOLINGUISTIC EXPERIMENT AS A METHOD OF STUDYING GRAMMATICAL SEMANTICS AT HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

 A psycholinguistic experiment is considered in the paper as a tool of researching
grammatical semantics. The author justifies the need to study the main psycholinguistic
techniques by philology students. An experiment can be used in teaching grammar at
university as a research and training procedure demanding that students should possess certain skills of its carrying out and description, which are formed in experimental data processing. The study devoted to the expression of doubtfulness semantics in students’ speech is given as an example. Experimentally it becomes clear, what means of expressing this value are the most demanded in the youth discourse. The author draws and experimentally confirms the conclusion about the prevalence of verbal means over nonverbal ones and interprets the obtained results.
