The article reviews some semantic features of the Russian word-condensates as the most popular means of linguistic economy. The homonymous words-condensates and words coinciding with them are distinguished. The meanings of the polysemantic options are viewed in the context or in the speech situation. The unambiguous definitions are usually seen as terminological or term-like.
