The article considers the existing psycho-pedagogical research approaches to the issue of preparedness for activities. It is stated that the diversity of scientific research with respect to the category of “readiness” has given rise to the variability in its understanding. Based on the analysis, the author concludes that readiness for a healthy lifestyle is conditioned by the laws of life of an individual and will depend, above all, on the specificity of tasks being solved during the life cycle and related to the development and strengthening of health. The author proposes her definition of readiness for a healthy lifestyle.
