The article considers topical issues of ensuring the necessary conditions for the formation of civic consciousness in the modern educational space. The author states that education must go hand in hand with upbringing and promote the development of socially and spiritually mature, responsible persons. The author comes to the conclusion that the formation of civic consciousness of personality is a complex problem conditioned by socio-political and educational paradigms, since the formation of civic consciousness initiates the formation of patriotism and develops civic qualities of personality.
