 Distinguishing features of accentual-rhythmic systems in different languages are de-
termined by the specifi c combination of segmental and suprasegmental phenomena.
The comparative analysis of the segmental and prosodic elements’ interaction mecha-
nism makes it possible to reveal their combination patterns and defi ne how the suprasegmental level is predetermined by the segmental level.
