The paper covers the advantages and disadvantages of the diagnostic block in the
pedagogical process at children’s home. The author presents and analyses the data of the experiment carried out in order to ascertain the analysis of qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the experimental study of communication development among children of early age at children’s home. Based on the results of the conducted research, the author sets tasks, whose implementation will result in proper and effi cient organisation of communication development among children of early age living in closed institutions.
