 The article is devoted to the organisation of monitoring of the professional development of educational organisations’ heads. The article presents the possibilities of using the 
criteria and indicators that are included in the assessment of heads’ work effi ciency in the framework of the “effective contract”. The author emphasises the need of monitoring for the development of refl exive and motivational components of professional competence.
