The article describes the activities of the newspaper “Wong Dong” (“The Far East”),
which was published since 1994 in Primorye and focused on the Russian Koreans. The life cycle of this edition has the features common to most diaspora newspapers, and the quite long – 10 years – activity allows us to trace its dynamics and highlight the main stages. This problem conditions the choice of the main research method – problem-chronological. The sources for the research were the archive of “Wong Dong” and the current archive of Roscomnadzor of Primorsky Krai.
