The article investigates the topical area of modern geopolitics connected with today’s
regional confl icts. The author stresses that subjects of globalisation are potential carriers of these confl icts. In particular, the sources of aggressive policy of the leading countries, especially the USA, are examined closely in the article. The author proves that one of the principal causes for current regional confl icts that have a potential to become global is the concept of “universal values”. Forced intrusion of these western patterns induces active rejection in many countries.
