The article gives an objective view about the role of informational and educational
institutions of the Republic of Mordovia in the field of the Finno-Ugric world. The
authors reveal the relationship and interaction of traditional and innovative approaches
in the context of socio-cultural transformations and make conclusions on the problems
of the information potential of the Finno-Ugric space.
