The article is devoted to the phenomenon of laughter considered as a concept of the
philosophy of transgression. The transgressive nature of laughter is revealed in its
relation to other transgressive elements of human existence, such as eroticism, death,
ritual feast. Also, the distinction between comic laughter and vital laughter is carried out, while vital laughter is regarded as immanent to the human essence.
