Meanings of science and art

N. M. Garipova
Price: 50 руб.
The article considers the phenomenon of meaning that is manifested in science and arts. The article proves that there are two components in meaning – the first one connected with knowledge (an object component) and the second one connected with intention (a subject component). The author shows that the meanings of art and science in their origins are identical in their structure, but they are different in their objectification and transfer. Meanings of science have a tendency to lose the subjective component, which can be explained by the exaggeration of the role of thinking that has an essential task – to clarify the contents of the object of meaning, its logos. Meanings of art, by contrast, objectify and transmit a specific human state (intentional state), whose main content is an attitude to the object of meaning. It is important to take into account the peculiarities of scientific and artistic meanings because science and high art are valuable experience that needs to be transfered efficiently from generation to generation.
Key words: meaning, meaning in science, meaning in art, essential elements of the
phenomenon of meaning, intentional state, comprehension of meaning.
