The article presents a research of children-parents relationships within families with senior pre-school age children with psychosomatic disorders (exemplifi ed by spasmodic asthma and chronic gastroduodenitis). Authors compare specifi cs of
the father’s role in the development of psychosomatic disorder with the role of a mother. Research sample involved 116 people, including 22 somatically healthy children, 25 children with psychosomatic disorders, a well as their mothers and fathers.
