Abstract. The article discusses the issues of students’ training in the field of decorative arts

using the example of artistic glass processing. The specifics of teaching stained glass art are revealed. Some historical aspects of stained glass art are covered. The practical experience of studying various types and techniques of artistic glass processing is described. The system of making a creative “product” is proposed. The importance of training modern artists in the field of decorative arts is substantiated.
