political, socio-economic, cultural, industrial ones. These changes were accompanied by
the technological progress, development of new technologies and could not but affect the
artistic and fi gurative structure of works of art, including in music. Ideas, content, musical
language, means of expression changed. The article is devoted to the relevant problem of the use of composing techniques in works for saxophone in the 20th century. This problem is considered using the example of works of various genres. Modern composing techniques used in works for saxophone have become not only a refl ection of the musical thinking of their authors, but also a refl ection of the fi gurative structure of musical works.
