Abstract. The Silver Age is a special period in Russian culture, which served as the beginning for many changes and transformations. Since all spheres of art are generally interconnected, one can note the infl uence of the new artistic trends, which emerged in that period, on the music of the era. The composer R. M. Glier in his work combined skillfully the rich traditions of the past with the new trends that had entered the cultural life of the country at the beginning of the 20th century. The paper provides analytical reviews of some of R. M. Glier’s works concerning poetic and musical texts, as well as practical recommendations for novice performers of chamber vocal music.
