Abstract. The paper is devoted to the printed graphics of Leningrad in the second half of the 20th century, namely to such types as linocut and woodcut, and their mutual infl uence on each other. Speaking about letterpress printing techniques in the Leningrad graphic art of the second half of the 20th century, the author of the paper touches upon creativity of masters working both in these two techniques, and exclusively in linocut. The author emphasizes the genre and thematic diversity of the Leningrad prints of this period. The emphasis is placed on cityscape as the leading genre in the easel printed graphics of Leningrad. The author concludes that linocut, occupying more space in the works of graphic artists of the second half of the twentieth century and being an independent type of printed graphics, partly adopts some features of woodcuts. However, the Leningrad woodcut continues to evolve in the form of easel engraving, as well as in book graphics and in ex-libris.
