This paper desribes the possibility of a classification approach to church architecture, in which, along with the structural typology of forms, several levels of spatial typology are considered: the mutual arrangement of churches in the landscape and in the city, in monasteries and their city metochions, in church complexes of rural settlements, and in complex compositions of churches. All this is a single typological series developing from the general to the particular, continuing in the internal structure of the church building and in its interior
