The article considers a method for modelling homogeneous and inhomogeneous electrostatic fields in a laboratory practice in physics. The proposed method makes it possible to increase the accuracy of measurements by improving the laboratory setup. Key words: electric field of a ship, electrostatic field modelling method, field potential, equipotential surfaces.
