The article presents some findings of the research on differences in personal development among representatives of different generations – people in their adolescence and mature age. The diagnostics data of the following personal development indicators were analysed: values, cognitive needs, creativity, self-sufficiency, self-understanding and autosympathy, sociability and flexibility in communication, as well as indicators of maturity of different types of reflection. These personal features are most commonly used in description of such constructs as personal maturity and psychological culture of an individual. The results of the study expand and, on the other hand, clarify the conceptual and structural content of these two personality formation features, supplement the available information about the development trends of specific age groups, their general attitudes in terms of values and senses.
