Тhe article summarises the results of the empirical study on the dynamics of the
professional self-concept and self-attitude of cadets. The dominant components of the
professional self-image of a military specialist are highlighted. It is noted that during the
period of training at a military university, the core of an ofțcer’s personality is formed,
whereas the self-concept is one of the key personality formations.
