EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE OF STUDENTS WITH DIFFERENT MODALITIES OF SELF-RELATIONSHIP

The  paper  presents  the  results  of  the  study  on  the  characteristics  of  emotional 
intelligence of student youth with different modalities of self-relationship. The study 
sample consisted of 75 students 19–20 years old. As methods for collecting factual 
material,  the  authors  used  the  “Questionnaire  of  Self-Relationship”  (V.  V.  Stolin,   
S. R. Pantileyev), “Test of Emotional Intelligence” (N. Hall), and “Questionnaire on 
Emotional Intelligence” (D. V. Lyusin). It was found that students with a high level of 
self-understanding and expecting a positive attitude of others towards their “Self” have 
statistically signiƛcant (p ≤ 0.05) high values of the main characteristics of emotional 
intelligence such as: management of emotions, self-motivation, empathy, understanding 
and recognition of emotions, both at the interpersonal and intrapersonal levels.
