THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY CATEGORY IN RESILIENCE STUDIES

The  paper  presents  a  review  of  studies  using  the  categories  of  psychological  safety and resilience of the environment and personality as their basis. There are studies that investigate safety and resilience in the context of the educational environment issues, consequences of safety violation in childhood, coping with trauma, and social resources of  resilience.  Psychological  safety  of  the  educational  environment  is  a  condition  for education  and  development  of  children,  a  resource  for  maintaining  their  resilience. Violation of children’s safety, psychological and physical violence is associated with subsequent psychological problems and, in some cases, physical illnesses. Restoring the sense of safety is a prerequisite for working with trauma, and is also part of the structure of the social resource that supports resilience. Psychological safety of the environment and a person’s assessment of the environment as safe is a condition that supports the person’s resilience.
