The article deals with the problem of using the information approach in social and psychological research. The content of psychological components in the category of “information” is extremely poor. The article notes that historically the psychological
component was purposefully excluded from the concept of “information”, limiting
researchers to the consideration of sets of facts and data. Therefore, when using the information approach, there was a reduction of the individual semantic Beld of man.
